The Higher Secondary wing of the school was established in 1998 with Rev. Sr. Renita as the principal, 14 teachers and 103 students. Following Sr. Renita, Rev. Sr. Alphonsa took over the reins of the institution in the year 2000. She was followed by Rev. Sr. Theresa Martin who held the office from 2005 to 2013. At present the school is headed by Rev. Sr. Lissi AP who took charge in 2013.
The Carmel community has now grown to its current strength of 727. The school provides higher learning in 4 different streams – Science with Biology, Science with Computer, Commerce and Humanities. The cradle of learning is on its march forward to explore knowledge and embrace virtue.
Treading the footsteps of its founders, the school endeavours for the holistic development of the students, preparing them to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. The alumnae of the school have carved a niche for themselves across the world, yet the spirit to “give and not count the cost” remains unchanged.
